SPEAKER: Eric Roffman invented the term eXtended Reality in 2015 in his website/blog QPORIT (https://qporit.blogspot.com/2015/09/some-variations-on-reality-extended.html) where he reports on video, theater, new technology (like XR!), science, and public issues. He is currently beta testing QPORIT XR, a 3D 360 webXR extension of QPORIT.

Eric has a PhD in theoretical physics, investigating fundamental properties of elementary particles and quantum field theory (in 3 & more dimensions; of course using xR HMD's). He also founded “THE AMERICAN FILM MAGAZINE”, later selling the title to the AFI, and created the award-winning multimedia computer game “Millennium Auction”.
