TRADITION!

Alas, the Carnegie Deli, 7th & 55th, closed a moment ago.

I used to have an office around the corner and often lunched there.

The best corned beef & pastrami!  They cured it themselves in the olde days.
The biggest! sandwiches. My mouth was never big enough, but I enjoyed the challenge. Even a few celebrities... even sitting at your table from time to time. Other deli standards. The standard for deli standards.

Cash only!

A huge loss of one of NY's great traditions, eclipsing even the retiring of  Le Bernadin's caramel dessert.
