 UPDATE 2024-06-26:

• LIFE AND TRUST cancelled today's show at about 8:15 PM tonight reportedly due to technical difficulties with the audio. Let's see how well they handle this for an audience that waited for an hour or so for the show to start and spent whatever time and costs it took to make it to the show. New shows are new; and complex immersive shows are hard.

• By the way, they provide accessibility services for people who cannot run and climb stairs, and these services are gracious and helpful.

• Sleep No More has been extend until September 29.

SLEEP NO MORE may be going to sleep soon.  (They have posted closing notices, but extended at least once). BUT ... LIFE AND TRUST is a new project from Emursive Productions (the producers of Sleep No More).

I know almost nothing about Life and Trust, except that it takes place in a building around Wall Street, and seems to have a financial theme: No full description, preview, or review so far, that I have seen.  (*** UPDATES! see below). 

{I've bought a ticket for late June; there are performances starting June 17 ("Sold Out"), and (at least, as of 6:42 May 13) tickets available beginning June 19.}

From the terms and conditions (I don't think my ticket terms included an NDA) it seems similar in format to Sleep No More:

• Masks are provided and required; 
• the show/event takes place over several levels (there are easy, free accommodations for hearing, visual, and mobility issues); 
• and they note that visitors should "be aware that Life And Trust guests may encounter scenes with nudity and depictions of violence, sexuality and intense psychological scenarios".

When John F. Kennedy ran for President, no Catholic had ever been elected President; there was concern that a Catholic President would impose the dictates of the Catholic Church on policies in the United States.

He spoke at a meeting of Ministers in Houston on his views of the separation of church and state.

Justice Alito in his recent opinions and in a recorded conversation has expressed sympathy for erasing the separation of church and state, seems to be using church doctrine as a basis for his opinions, and in a recorded conversation, expresses support for “winning” (vs liberals) on behalf of “godliness”.

APPLE has just announced at WWDC that they are partnering with OPEN AI to improve their AI capabilities.  Years ago, SIRI was really the first AI agent to be widely distributed.  However its capabilities are currently vastly inferior to what is possible these days.  This is a welcome refresh.

It is worth noting that, almost 50 years ago!, Apple published a video showing what a personal assistant might be like.

Even earlier (1968), in 2001 A SPACE ODYSSEY, Stanley Kubrick demonstrated one way that AI could be problematic! If you have not yet seen this movie, you should. (It can be found on many streaming services.)

in addition to AI enhancements, there was other news.

For Apple Vision Pro (AVP) which debuted only a few months ago, there were several VisionOS announcements - including enhanced ability to promote 2D photos to 3D photos - and  two new 3D cameras, plus enhanced spatial video capabilities coming from Da Vinci and Vimeo. They also announced future support for webXR.

There are three candidates in the NJ Democratic Senate primary: 

• Andrew Kim,
• Larry Hamm,
• Patricia Campos Medina.

There are four candidates in the NJ Republican Senate primary: 

• Curtis Bashaw,
• Albert Harshaw,
• Justin Murphy,
• Christine Serrano Glassner. 

The former Senator Bob Menendez (currently facing a corruption trial) is not running in the Democratic primary, but may seek to run in the general election as an independent, along with several other independent candidates. Tammy Murphy, the wife of NJ Governor Phil Murphy, dropped out of the race for Senator.

THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES

ANDREW KIM currently represents New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District. 

He has a distinguished career, largely in national security issues. According to Wikipedia, “Kim worked at the U.S. State Department. He served in Afghanistan as a civilian adviser to Generals David Petraeus and John R. Allen before working as a national security adviser under President Barack Obama.*[3][10] Kim served as a United States National Security Council official.*[11][3] After the Sinjar massacre, Kim wrote the plan implemented by Obama to strike ISIS.*[3]”.

 He is the Bergen County Democratic Committee nominee.
