CASTING NOTICE
QPORIT XR is making 3D 360 VR videos and 3D 180 VR videos:
- with fictional comedy and dramatic story lines
- with interviews of actors, directors, technology developers, and interesting people of all kinds
- with documentary and other non-fictional content.
We look to be gathering a community to create VR videos.
VR VIDEO IS IMPORTANT AND GROWING!
Oculus GO and QUEST are gaining more and more popularity. QUEST sold out during the holiday season. SONY has sold more than 5M VR headsets. Google/Alphabet and Apple are working on VR, AR, and MR. New cameras and headsets with better and better resolution are coming out every year. There is a major boom in XR (XR includes VR AR & MR) in China. YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo and other video hosting sites support VR. More and more Film Festivals have XR events.
CASTING NOTICE:
We are currently casting a short, dramatic 3D 360 VR video. To be filmed in NYC, in JANUARY we hope. Here are the requirements:
Casting "Congressional Insurgent," a short, dramatic, fictional, scripted video.
Synopsis: A brilliant activist (male or female) weighs challenging a popular incumbent in congress. This is a short, dramatic 3D 360 VR video for FF submission & web VR. It is non-Union, and unpaid.

We are looking to cast the Activist Insurgent:
- Character: Activist Insurgent
- Role Type: Lead
- Gender: Male or Female
- Age Range: 27-50
- Ethnicity: Any
- Skills: Public Speaking, Acting Techniques: Improvisation
- Role Description: Requires a credible activist candidate for Congress, so a knowledge of current affairs and politics, and the ability to speak well (improvisational and passionate) is essential.
Submit a headshot, resume/bio, and COVER LETTER (VERY IMPORTANT!) including your availability in JAN! & Feb. (Audio and video media are helpful but not essential.)

Here are some tips for a successful submission:
A perfect candidate...
A) SUBMITS EVERYTHING ASKED FOR.
a. “Submit a headshot, resume/bio, and COVER LETTER (VERY IMPORTANT!) INCLUDING your availability in JAN & Feb. (Audio and video media are helpful but not essential.)”
B) IS AVAILABLE THRU JANUARY AND INTO FEB.
a. “…availability in JAN! & Feb”.
C) Has experience that is relevant and impressive, yet is consistent with being non-union, & working on an unpaid project.
D) Has a look that fits the role.
a. In addition to photos, and possible videos, height, weight, eye color, & hair color shown in the bio help.
E) Sends a cover letter that is personal, suggests enthusiasm and relates to the description of the role and the VR production.
F) Sends a resume, cover letter, and any other included materials with no errors.
a. The character is "brilliant".
G) Only attaches photo, audio or video media that are well made.
a. (Yes, it is really hard to make quality media.)
H) Includes some photo, audio or video media that show the candidate would be appropriate for the role.
