Preview: OC4 - OCULUS DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE

Here's a preview from Oculus of the next developer's conference: October 11-12, 2017 (San-Jose):

On October 11 and 12, developers and thought leaders from across the VR industry will converge in San Jose, Calif. for Oculus Connect 4 (https://www.oculusconnect.com/). Today, we’re excited to reveal some of the Oculus speakers who’ll share best practices and unique insights from the fields of software engineering, product design, mixed reality, and beyond. Applications to attend are open for a limited time—

That’s just a sample of the talks on deck for OC4. With over 30 sessions across four content tracks—Design, Develop, Distribute, and Future—we’ll also feature talks from developers, partners, and creators across the community like Magnopus and NASA, Ready At Dawn, VRMADA, Unity Technologies, and many more.
New Voices, Diverse Perspectives
For the second year in a row, we’ll celebrate industry progress across the gender divide at our Women in VR Happy Hour. Join us for a festive evening of community building with refreshments and DJ entertainment.
On the show floor, a dedicated Oculus Launch Pad kiosk will spotlight 360° films and VR experiences from a diverse range of emerging content creators. Now in its second year (https://www.oculus.com/blog/oculus-launch-pad-2017-boot-camp-recap-felix-paul-funomena-unity-and-more), Launch Pad hopes to increase diversity of thought within the VR industry and inspire developers who represent our global audience to share their voices with the world. We can’t wait to see where the program goes next.
We’ll also host our first-ever Women in VR Film Festival, with topics ranging from social impact to cutting-edge interactivity. In addition to Oculus Launch Pad, we’ll showcase participants from VR for Good’s Creators Lab and the Diverse Filmmakers Fund. The film festival will be open to all OC4 attendees in our Diversity Lounge, while creators will provide a series of lightning talks throughout the show.
Oculus Medium + Mixed Reality
On the show floor, be sure to visit the Oculus Medium Gallery near the registration desk, where you can view digital sculpts made in VR and the 3D printed results. You can even get hands-on yourself with a Medium demo, or check out the mixed reality booth to watch professional artists do speed sculpts and character design.
See You in San Jose
Visit oculusconnect.com for details on applications and registration, travel, and accommodations, and stay tuned for more updates including new speakers, special guests, and exclusive events in the coming weeks.
