BRATTON COMMUNITY & POLICE
William J Bratton, on being appointed as the new Police Commissioner by Mayor elect Bill De Blasio, gave an impassioned talk (that transcended the usual boilerplate) pledging to improve relations between all the communities of New York and the police department... a relationship that will promote free and friendly communication between the police and the people, to help keep New York safe. It was an inspiring short speech on the value and importance of the policeman as a friend to every New Yorker.
